Ágoston Pável Museum

The building of the muesum, the so-called „Steyr-house” was originally built for the workers of the scythe factory and gives home to the Ágoston Pável collection of local history and Slovenians since 1982. The base collection of the institution is grounded on the collection of Károly Gáspár (1914-1982), who was a primary school teacher of Slovenian origin, together a number of smaller collections from Szentgotthárd. The temporary exhibitions give an isnight on the pottery traditions of the area and the lifestyle of Slovenians who lived in Szentgotthárd. The name of the museum origins from local ethnographist and linguist Ágoston Pável. Opening Hours: Tue-Sat 11AM-15PM.
