Some best practices and 5 cycling packages have been presented on the regional workshop organized by ZKTŠ MS, which are developed in the region of the former iron curtain. They are available in the publication and on the original website of the project (www.icc.zala.hu).
On the second weekend of January the fair area of Stuttgart became lively, since the traditional CMT fair – which kept the title of the largest tourism and leisure fair of the world even in this year - has been held at that time. The 9-days fair started with the Fahrrad- & WanderReisen fair dealing with cycling and hiking, on which ZRS Bistra Ptuj introduced the Iron Curtain Cycling project. Our stand was placed in the centre of Hall 9, on a favourable place, thus a number of potential visitors of our region inquired curiously about our offer.
The road - suitable also for cycling – connecting Lendvadedes, Dedeskecskés and the Slovenian Dolga Vas, that is built in the framework of Iron Curtain Cycling project between Tenke-hill at Rédics and Lendava-hill in Slovenia, has been inaugurated officially.
The autumn ICC Day cycling festival has been held on 5–6 October 2019. During the weekend the bikers could choose among 4 routes considering the length of the tour, the sights and the thematics of the cycling tour.
The mobile application called ”Cycling Slovenia Hungary”, that was developed in the framework of Iron Curtain Cycling project for helping the visitors of the Slovenian – Hungarian border region – Lenti and its surroundings, Raba Region, Pomurje region (Murska Sobota, Lendava, Ljutomer), Mura –Drava region (Ptuj and its surroundings) – in getting familiar and wandering it, is available now.
A cycling family day has been held on 14 September with Páka as a central venue. The participants could join to cycling and hiking tours, sport and rush programme, health screenings and hear presentations on healthy lifestyle, road safety and cycling.
