Dominko's homestead

Gorišnica boasts with a wonderful farm building - the Dominko's homestead. According to the experts of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia, the Dominko's homestead is the oldest fully preserved house, built in the Pannonian style. It's over three hundred years old. It is architecturally one of the typical Pannonian houses, built in the corner so that the living and economic part are connected in the shape of a letter. The building is "cimprana" - built of wooden logs, surrounded by clay plaster and whitewashed with lime. The roof is covered with straw. Inside there is among other a wonderful "black kitchen". Everything is equipped with original equipment, which the last resident left behind. The visit is possible every day after prior notification.
