Marof Winery and Marof Mansion
An old castle with a long Hungarian history and a modern stylish wine cellar in the triangle of Austria, Slovenia and Hungary. Touched by the climate from Pannonia and from the other side of the Alps. This double climate zone makes Marof wines so different and unique. Interesting specially for Hungarian visitors. Uros Valcl, the young and talented wine maker of Marof says about his wines: “Our wines are growing on the fields, not in the cellar. They are hand produced straight and honest without any cellar cosmetics. One has to taste in every single sort the climate, the geography, the earths and the reginal culture.” Openong Hours: Marof Winery: Tuesday-Friday: 10:00 – 16:00, Saturday: 13:00 – 18:00, Sunday. Monday and holidays: open by prior appointment only. Tuesday, March 27, 2018, closed.
Marof Mansion: Saturday: 12:00 – 20:00, Sunday: 12:00 – 18:00. Other times available upon request.
