Murska Sobota Castle
The castle in Muraszombat, the Szapáry Castle is located in the centre of the city in a 9.5 hectare park. It was first mentioned in 1255. In the last third of the 20th century it was the home of several public service institutes. Today the Muravidék Museum, with the history of Muravidék among others can be seen here.
