”Cycling is a good business” workshop 2. Lendava

On 10 July 2018 we have organized the second workshop in the framework of the Iron Curtain Cycling project in the Murania Cycling Centre. The Municipality of Lendava, as a project partner, in cooperation with Pomurje Tourism Association announced the event with the provocative title ”Cycling is a good business”.

In the course of the workshop we introduced the main elements of the cycling infrastructure and the cycling tourists’ requirements according to the global trends. We were looking for the answers to the following questions: What should be a successful cycling accomodation, board and rest point like, then we discribed the type of tourists we would like, discussed the requirements to be fulfilled in order to have returning guests.

Considering the market viewpoint the workshops aimed at developing interesting and attractive tourism products. Thus at the end of the two workshops we had 5 integrated cycling tourism products by which we can contribute to the widening of the offer and the increase of the number of cycling visitors both in the area of Municipality of Lendava and its larger region.
