FOCUSING ON THE OPPORTUNITIES LYING IN TOURISM

LENDAVA: Pomurje Tourism Association has arranged the workshop titled ”Do we really want the cycling tourism?” within the Iron Curtain Cycling project, in which the Municipality of Lendava takes part as a project partner. More than twenty participants took part at the meeting held in the Murania Cycling Centre at Centiba.

In the first part of the workshop we explained the content of three topics: Cycling, as a tourism activitiy; Cycling tourism product; and Selling cycling for tourism purposes. The participants were informed about the appropriate cycling infrastructure and the requierements of the cycling tourists in the modern age. We introduced them the main elements of the cycling products and the best practices of the successful cycling destinations. During the continuation of the workshop the participants were involved also in practice of developing attractive tourism products for the cycling segment. The result of the workshop was establishing the basis of tourism products which can stimulate the tourist attraction of the destinations in the future.

INTERREG COOPERATION

The project is implemented in the framework of Slovenia – Hungary INTERREG  Cross-Border Cooperation Program. The theme of the workshop being held on next Tuesday: ”Cycling will be a good business”.
